ADELAIDE CARLETON
Adelaide is a well established electronic DJ. Playing weekly gigs in Auckland, Adelaide has played some of the biggest electronic dance party’s in New Zealand inckuding Oxygen, Ministry of Sound, Godskitchen, Slinky, Summadayze and Stereodays. Adelaide has also travelled abroad with her sets to play in Australia, Europe and the United States! Not only has she accomplished all of this but she has also created her own record label and released her own EP. If you’re looking for a multi-genre of tunes to get your function pumping, Adelaide is your lady.
ARII JADE
Arii Jade is a Venezuelan born DJ/songwriter based in Auckland, New Zealand. Combining a mixture of soul, hiphop and eclectic sounds into her sets, she has played at some of the coolest clubs/parties all across the country. She has had the pleasure to play with artists such as Stan Walker, Ed Sheeran, Tiki Tane, and Che Fu. Arii plays on George FM days & breakfast on a regular basis for exclusive guest mixes and is the resident DJ at The Roxy Nightclub, 1885 and Revelry – to name a few. Arii is a very busy, motivated individual who is now concentrating on making new music to be released soon.
DICK JOHNSON
Originally from England, Dick made his move over to NZ in the early 2000’s leaving a legacy of playing at top Manchester clubs, producing tracks for Cream’s Olympic label – and more, and even set up his own record label Shaboom, which went on to release over 100 tracks from the likes of Joseki, DJ Sneak and more! Dick has not only been involved in his own productions but has more recently put together 8-piece band Weird Together. Now with a weekly show on George FM, you can also find Dick playing a show every weekend anywhere within NZ to Russia and places in between.
DJ KAMOTION
For passionate entertainer Cam (aka: DJ Kamotion), life has always been music and live performance! His standout onstage excitement and upbeat persona have led to appearances at Splore, New Zealand’s ‘Burning Man’ event Kiwiburn, and even DJ’ing on the Thai Island of Koh Phangan celebrating the Full Moon with 30,000 party goers. Representing a full spectrum of musical flavours, Cam caters to everyone, from funky high energy sing-a-long dance vibes, to relaxing easygoing downbeat tunes, and everything in between. AMOORE
Erika Amoore is an Auckland based DJ playing regularly at some of the hottest bars and clubs in the city. Her selection embodies a wide variety of music styles including disco, funk, pop, and house. She loves playing those late night sets and whatever the genre she is sure to get people dancing!
GENERAL LEE
Kicking off his passion at a young age, General Lee started out as a resident DJ at his fathers South Auckland night club. It’s there that he mastered the art of vinyl.General Lee travelled the country with some of NZ’s top DJ’s, here he started to get recognised by the biggest names in industry. With over 20 years in the industry, General Lee has played alongside: Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Armand Van Helden, Basement Jaxx, Carl Cox, Sander Kleinenberg, Judge Jules, Bob Sinclar , Seany b from TV rock, kaskade, Mylo , Tom Novy and many many more. You can catch General Lee on George FM weekdays – or at many events and bars on the weekends.
GRANT MARSHALL
Grant has over 20 years DJ’ing experience which has seen him have many residencies across Auckland’s hottest clubs including one for 11 years at Auckland’s Sky City Casino night spot, Twentyone. Outside of clubs, Grant has played events for Vodafone, TVNZ, Coca Cola, Harcourts, ASB, Westpac, Prince William and Kate, the world premiere of the first of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ films. Throughout his career Grant has supported the likes of Rodger Sanchez, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Falcon, Kings or Tomorrow, Stonebridge, ATFC, Axwell, Ian Carey, Kaskade and many more. If you’re looking for a DJ that puts the fun in function, Grant knows how to get a party started and have a great time.
HAVANA BROWN
As the first female DJ to sign a major label recording deal in Australia, Havana has delivered on Universal Music’s expectations with multiple releases of her Crave compilation series selling over 250,000 copies of the series. The talented Australian DJ held down three hugely successful weekly radio spots, with over 1 million listeners tuning in each week. She has amassed over 1 Million loyal Facebook fans, sold over 2.5 million singles worldwide, and amassed over 40 Million Streams. Havana’s single ‘We Run the Night’ featuring Pitbull reached Triple Platinum in Australia and debuted on the ARIA Singles Chart at #7. The single went on to sell over 1 million units in the U.S., and hit the Top 30 on iTunes in over 30 countries across the globe.
JASON HUNTER
DJing since 1998, Jason started out as a turntablist competing at national level in the NZ ITF competition 2001 and Australian DMC in 2002. During 2004 to 2011 he held down a firm residency at Wellingtons Coyote Bar where he also worked as the the venues entertainment manager. Currently in resident positions at Mish Mosh and Boston on Blair, Jason takes some time out to play North and South island shows and thrives in his role as a DJ tutor at the Whitiria Polytechnic. With a broad repertoire of musical strings to his bow, Jason has played and currently plays diverse range of events including international Reggae concert’s, regional race days, festivals, paint parties, live music gigs, black tie corporate events and of course, nightclubs and bars.
KARN HALL
Karn Hall has been DJ’ing for almost 20 years to date. In these years he has been a resident Dj at some of the hottest night clubs in Auckland, more recently at Roxy, 1885, Revelry, twentyone and Racket. Karn has also performed at New Zealand’s top events and festivals including at the Highlife Entertainment events. Aside from being a well respected, high profile DJ, Karn is also a model, actor and VO talent, with over a decade of broadcasting experience in both TV & radio. Karn’s heavy experience means he can offer your event with top of the range skills to leave the dance floor on your next event, jam packed.
MARINA
KATEriNA
Originally from America, Marina Katerina lived in New York and decided to start Dj’ing over paying club door charges. Not only is Marina a DJ and producer but she is an all-round party girl being based in Auckland since 2013. She has supported artists including Snails, Flux Pavilion, Baauer, Kill Paris, Ookay and Gent & Jawns. Marina is influenced by House, Hip-Hop, Trap, Bass, Pop, Retro – doesn’t matter, if it gets you moving she’s into it.
MARJORIE
SINCLAIR
Not only that but she has also played for luxury brands such as Maserati, Top Shop, LuluLemon and Highlife Entertainment. Marjorie is a devoted and talented DJ whose hard work is reflected in her great mixing technique and performances. DJ Marjorie Sinclair has been smashing the decks since 2009, collecting vinyls and playing great tunes at some of the World’s best clubs. Marjorie has played alongside great DJs during her career like FTAMPA, KOMES, Some Blonde DJ, and has DJed at T-Pain + Justin Timberlake’s Official After Party.
MELICIOUS
Mel has been in the music industry for over a decade. With music being such a massive passion she moved into DJ’ing over 4 years ago. Known as Melicious, she can play different types of sets to cater to any audience whether it be top 40, hiphop, classic hits, dance or even rock! Melicious broke into the EDM scene in 2017 with the highlight playing to around 5,000 people at Rhythm & Vines.
Outside of DJ’ing she is the host of two shows – one focusing on music, the other tattoo’s.
PIXIE LANE
Pixie Lane is the newest female DJ to hit the New Zealand scene and she has hit it by storm. She started her career in Auckland NZ as a fill in, for a warm up slot at a popular event called CC:Houseworks at Cassette Nine. With nothing to lose and everything to gain she made sure to own the crowd, Pix was then invited back and that was when earned her place as the resident Dj for CC:houseworks. Since then she has played in the most popular spots all around Auckland and has made her way to play for some of the biggest festivals in New Zealand. For Summer 2020 you will see her at Deep Hard and Funky, Rhythm and Vines, at The CC:Houseworks event series, with more to be announced very soon. Pixie Lane may be small in stature, but she packs a full punch when she plays. House music is her wizardry with funk, disco and tech house as her craft. Her sets are versatile, memorable and she knows exactly what to play for the right time and place. Pix is known for creating a dance floor no matter the hour.
SAM JONeS
Sam Jones, also known as Goldman Sax - is a skilled DJ and saxophonist from Auckland, New Zealand. Sam's sets are a unique blend of soulful tunes and live instrumentation, featuring sax, flute, and keys.Drawing on his background in jazz and classical music, Sam infuses every element of his sets with improvisation, bringing a unique and personalised touch to every performance. His selections span a number of genres, favouring anything with a groove. Sam has performed at festivals including Rhythm & Vines, Northern Bass, Soundsplash, and Electric Avenue, where he was a soloist with ‘Synthony'. Additionally, he has also played numerous sets on George FM Breakfast, and shared the stage with accomplished Kiwi musicians such as Laughton Kora, Tiki Taane, Bailey Wiley & Joel Shadbolt (L.A.B). Genres - Top 40, Classics, Hip Hop, House/D&B.
SAMBORA
Sam Trevethick, aka Sambora has forged a distinguished career as a songwriter, producer and multi Instrumentalist, most notably as founding member of legendary electronic music innovators, Shapeshifter. Sam found a deep love of DJ culture during the Halcyon days of the late 90’s jungle/rave scene in his hometown of Christchurch. This spawned a commitment to the form which has seen him perform as a DJ at clubs, arenas and festival main stages across the globe. His influences as an artist encompass many threads, starting from his upbringing in a classical music-only home, through his days grinding out metal riffs in shitty bars whilst studying Jazz at music school, to producing generation defining Electronic and Ambient influenced moments in incarnations such as the Drum and Bass informed Shapeshifter. Speaking on this passion for music Sam shared, “Being a DJ is one of my favourite ways to communicate. Engaging people to dance, let go and connect with each other to build energy is the best feeling." He has played in many different situations in his career as a DJ. The hottest clubs in Tokyo, Barcelona, London and everywhere in between. Main stages at festivals in Europe and North America, half time shows at major sporting events, morning raves, exercise classes, International Snowboarding Competitions and much more. He has represented Shapeshifter as a DJ in all across the globe and has played at superclubs and grimey afterparties. My depth of experience as a curator, vibe provider and taste maker is extensive after over 20 years in the DJ game.
TONY PHOENIX
As a follower of R&B and HipHop music Tony was introduced to Djing in 1995 by a group of friends who were already involved in the craft. After years of hobby Djing, it was 2004 while working as a porter at downtown Auckland club that Tony discovered House music and decided to step up his game and gain the experience he needed to become a professional DJ. As winner of the Select DJ competition in 2008 he went onto hold down residencies at some of Auckland best night clubs playing support for NZ’s top local entertainers and international artists including Vandalism, Klass and Mobin Master. Not limited to one dimension as DJ, Tony can hold it down in any envronment and is a capable and reliable talent for functions be it corporate, wedding, birthday or media event.
ZEISHA
DJ/Singer Zeisha Fremaux (Highlife) is a resident DJ and vocalist at Auckland’s hottest spots Little Easy, Sweat Shop Brew and SPQR. She also has regular sets at Degree, Soul Bar and The Roxy. Zeisha was handpicked to play at BlueSkyFIJI last November and has been booked for Highlife NYE, Highlife Fiesta Del Sol and Highlife’s Summer Pool Party. Her musical style ranges from House, Hip Hop and Trap. Zeisha has upcoming gigs globally, as well as regular gigs in and around New Zealand.
