MARIACHI BAND
Mariachi is a form of folk music from Mexico. The name refers to the music, the musicians and the band/orchestras that play it. Mariachi New Zealand is an authentic Mexican Mariachi band. Frontman Fidel Pimentel hails from Veracruz Mexico and has been in a Mariachi band since he was 15 years old. From there he studied many Mexican rhythms such as guapangos, rancheras, corridos, boleros, son jarocho to name a few. Mariachi wants to show this style of music live in New Zealand and promote authentic flavour. With this they can perform as a solo to a 5-piece full band.
PURR ZAZZ
Three professional highly experienced singers specialising in modern swing with a kiwi twist. Sonja, Kelly and Gail make up Purr Zazz who don’t only sound the part but also look the part with great costumes for the era of 1940s and 50s. RICKY DE MEDEIROS
Growing up in Brazil, Ricky was heavily influenced by the local rhythms and further studied music theory with guitar masters. In the early 2000’s he featured in several bands in his hometown, developing his live performance style. In 2010, he relocated to New Zealand and has since been a thriving musician in the Auckland live music scene.

The Red Velvet Seat are Soulful, Funky and Seriously Sassy. They’re an Auckland-based covers band that can grow from a duo to a full 7-piece with horns. Best known for their love of funk, power ballads, and all of your favourite classics from the ’70s to today, The Red Velvet Seat can warm up a small gathering or keep a party of 500 moving for hours. MARK HADLOW
Australian born Actor and comedian, Mark Hadlow is best known internationally for playing the roles of Harry in King Kong and Dori, a Dwarf, in The Hobbit series. Mark’s early film appearances were in serious roles, such as in Beyond Reasonable Doubt, but he is perhaps better known in New Zealand for his comedy roles, particularly in the television sitcom Willy Nilly, and some of the voices for the 1989 Peter Jackson puppet film, Meet the Feebles. He also starred alongside New Zealand Maori comedian, Billy T James in “The Billy T James Show”.

From tear jerking, heartfelt ballads to thigh slapping hoedowns “Wildflowers” keep the integrity of the Dixie Chicks songs, delivering the “real life” story telling with heart, conviction, exquisite harmonies and charisma. Gail Tipene, Melissa O’Connell and Sharon Emirali are accomplished award winning vocalists who grew up in the New Zealand Country Music scene from an early age, their talents have allowed them to cross over to numerous musical genres but singing Country music for these girls is like coming home.
